Last Term 4 students from Year 6 took part in the languages competition run by the Modern Language Teachers’ Association of WA. Pippa, Indiana, Lydia and Grace participated in the Side by Side competition. The video of the conversation that they recorded at school was sent to the judges via the MLTAWA website link. The 4 students of Joondalup Primary School had to compete with students who conversed in Mandarin, French, Italian,  German, Indonesian and other languages.

The president of the MLTAWA, Mrs Marisa Schiavi announced the award winners of the competition on Thursday 25 October at Willeton Senior High School. The award ceremony was attended by a lot of teachers, students and parents.

Lydia and Grace won 1st place in the Year 6 category for Indonesian in the competition. Well done, Lydia and Grace. Thank you to Pippa and Indiana for participating in the competition.
