Art with Mrs Sweet
Sunflowers
The students in Rooms 18, 19, 20, 30 and 31 viewed the Sunflowers work of Vincent Van Gogh which he thought symbolised gratitude.
A variety of painting techniques were used to paint the different parts of the sunflower collage and working with the element of line and the principle of movement, the students used oil pastels and a dye wash to create a background. A table was painted on a separate piece of paper using cardboard and this was then pasted on. The students worked with symmetry to create the vase and with a little help from their teacher the painted paper flowers were cut out.

Landscape
The students in Rooms 4,5,6,7 and 8 worked with soft pastels to create a landscape where the focus was on the elements of space and value.

Emu
After viewing the artwork of Wendy Binks the students in Rooms 4,5,6,7 and 8 created an emu in soft pastels.
