The students viewed the Native Hibiscus. It is the Stolen Generation Commemorative flower. The colour purple denoted compassion and spiritual healing. The plant grows widely across Australia. The students drew, cut and painted the flower. They worked with the paint to imply the textures of the flower, and the flowers have been pasted onto large sheets of green card and displayed in the windows of the Art, Music and Science rooms.
