Trillions of plastics are made each year, many lasting up to a thousand years…

About 5 percent goes to recycling…

50 percent to landfill…

The rest finds its way into the environment, eventually out to sea forming enormous garbage gyres!

Since the beginning of Term Two, students from PP-6 have been extremely proactive in bringing in bread tags and soft plastic bread bags to recycle, so they do not end up in landfill…or our oceans!
