As part of Science and Sustainability, I have signed JPS up for a Wonder Recycling Rewards program, which focuses on the recycling and repurposing of soft plastic bread bags (bread bags, hot dog bags, hot cross bun bags, pizza scroll bags, sweet bun bags, vegemite scroll bags…basically, if it contains a bread product and is soft plastic it can be repurposed). 

For every 5kg of soft plastic bread bags JPS return to Red Cycle, the school gets $500 and we can earn up to $2500 as a total which goes towards the purchasing of sport equipment or a repurposed ninja obstacle course!

So…what does the JPS community need to do?

1. Start talking to family, friends, sporting groups, Bunnings to spread the word that JPS students are keen to reduce and repurpose the soft plastics in our environment which are going to landfill!
2. Collect bread bags and return to the Wonder boxes at school.
3. Enjoy the rewards.

The more bread bags the school collects, the more chance we have to earn cash for sports equipment and reduce the plastic waste.
