Art with Mrs Sweet
Tiger in the Jungle
The students in rooms 18, 19, 20 and 30 created a background with leaf rubbings and a yellow and blue dye sprayed over the top. The tiger was cut out and pasted on. The elements of line, shape, colour, texture and value were revised in the process of creating the artwork.

Warm and Cool Colours
Warm colours are red, orange, and yellow. They are bright and pop out. They create energy and excitement in an artwork and are associated with happy, joyful emotions. Blue and green are cool colours. They tend to recede and create a calming energy. They may be used to express sad, calm, and tranquil emotions. Violet/purple can be both warm and cool depending on how much red or how much blue is in the violet.

Warm and Cool Colour Abstract
The students in rooms 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13 used oil pastels to create warm or cool abstracts. Warm Colour Landscape
The students in year 6 created a warm landscape. A wet on wet technique using red and yellow watercolour paint was used to paint the background. The land was added with felt pen and burnt trees were added with black ink. The ink was dropped on and blown up the page.

Birds on a Wire
The students in Pre-Primary worked with line and primary colours to create Birds on a Wire.
