The Faction Athletics Carnival is on Friday 11th September 2020.  In the coming weeks information will be sent to all families so that you can plan your day. 

Under Phase 4 restrictions for COVID-19 we welcome parents to attend events subject to each family social distancing and following hygiene guidelines correctly. Families are able to sit together but must be 1.5 metres from other adults.

We have put some parameters in place to support the wellbeing of children, staff and families.  On the day of the carnival the following will happen:

• There will be one large designated viewing areas for families which is the open space by the basketball courts.  You will need to access the area by using the gates that come off Jolstra Crescent. 
• Families will use the toilets by the staffroom in S and J Blocks.  Students will use the toilets in the classroom blocks.  For families, if the cubicles are being used, please wait outside until they are free. 
• Parents will not be permitted to go to the student bays or the podium area.  So that each moment is captured we will have a dedicated person in charge of photos and will send them to parents as soon as practicable after the event. 
• There will be a supply of hand sanitiser and soap in toilets which will be topped up throughout the day.
• Please respect the rights of school staff to determine what happens on the school site and follow these expectations politely.
• During recess and lunch families need to remain in their designated area and students will eat in their usual place.
• At the end of the carnival, and if it is prior to 3.00pm, all students will return to their class and parents can sign their own children out by letting the teacher know they are taking the children.  You do not need to come to the office and sign them out.  You cannot take other children from the class; only take your own.
• The canteen will operate out of the staffroom and on J Block verandah so you will be able to buy coffee, tea, sausage sizzle and cakes.  Sausage sizzles will be available for children to pre-order.
