Making Gingerbread Men in Kindy

After three weeks of learning all about the fairy tale The Gingerbread Men, the students in Kindy decided they were ready to take on a recipe just like the little old women in the story and make their own gingerbread man.

The students gathered some ingredients, followed the steps, measured and mixed and then baked their creations. They observed and discussed the changes to the mixture brought about by cooking. Finally, they decorated and then ate their gingerbread men. They were quite relieved that unlike the main character in the story – their own gingerbread men didn’t jump out of the oven and escape!
