P&C News
It has been a busy few weeks in the P&C with members and parent volunteers giving up many hours to help plan events and be there on the day to help support sales, ticket scanning, set-up, pack-up and other general support roles. Thank you to everyone who has helped over the last few weeks. These events have included:
- 2024 WACSSO Conference– Two P&C members attended the two day conference to learn more about fundraising ideas, communication, compliance and hear from other delegates and guest speakers, including the Education Minister, Hon Dr Tony Buti MLA
- Father’s Day Stall– A great success with a wide variety of gifts available and over $600 raised for the school!
- Icy Pole Fridays– Cooler weather is not slowing down the kids racing over to grab their icy poles. This will continue on most Fridays, depending on volunteer availability.
- PJ Disco– Nearly 30 volunteers helped 300 kids over 3 sessions have an absolute blast with music, lights, glow merch and dancing! What’s even better is this year we gave every student a free entry! We can only do this thanks to the fantastic fundraising efforts and contributions from our whole school community, so thank you.
And we’re still not done for this term…Friday 13 September is Faction Carnival and the P&C will be running “Morning Tea by the P&C” in the morning (9-12pm), available to students, parents and teachers. Come visit us to grab some yummy morning tea.
If you can help with donating anything like cakes, drinks and snacks or can come help out at the stall on the day (even if it's just an hour) – please contact Lisa on hello@joondaluppspc.tidymail.co
In Term 4 we will have two more big events. See attached info for the adults Quiz night (not long now) and remember Colour Run will be on Thursday 7 November. More info will be available soon.
