Interschool Basketball (Years 5 and 6)

Last Thursday 5September, Joondalup Primary School competed in the Joondalup Slam Series Basketball Cup at HBF Arena, with both boys and girls teams performing brilliantly. The girls team went through undefeated during qualifications, and the boys team only lost 1 game. Both teams made it through to the grand final before narrowly being beaten, to finish runners-up. All the students gave 100% effort, showed tremendous sports spirit and great teamwork.

A big thank you goes to Mr Easther for coaching the boys team and giving up his lunch times to train them. Both Mr Easther and I were very proud of all the students efforts and we thoroughly enjoyed the day and look forward to next year’s Slam Cup.

Girls Cricket Clinic

The all-girls cricket clinic started last Thursday 5 September. It was a fun-filled session with awesome activities and all the participants had a great time. We also had a special guest appearance from Lisa Griffith from the Perth Scorchers. Lisa provided great tips to the students and answered many questions from the girls.
